Prettiest deconstructed chair - Linen and Burlap

This chair is the best...
under the pale green and pink Victorian couple
upholstery
was
Burlap...
    and linen.
What a chair !

It has a Big Comfy feather cushion
which I did cover in
a soft brown burlap.

The rest of the chair ,
it was just waiting to be
uncovered

Every surface is covered in gesso
to make the prettiest
*carvings*
so gorgeous

I am loving the deconstructed look but
this would be equally gorgeous reupholstered.

Its a Big chair , almost
 a chair and a half.
It has a really wide seat.

Of course I want to keep it but I got
 2 thumbs down
 on
the idea of replacing Joe's recliner with
 it.
The man simply has no style

ha ha!

So...

It will be available at the

opens Friday ,December 2nd at 8:00 am

Rachel Ashwell's ( bed ) Skirt was Too Short

I like all the
Rachel Ashwell
 products at
 Target.
I'm sure that I would
love
everything at her shops in
 California
but I don't see that roadtrip in my near future.
So...
Target it is.
We have a vintage cast iron bed that
sits up higher
than the modern bed skirts with a 17" drop.
So ...
I took a RA white dust ruffle
and cut it off of the flat base that
goes between the mattress and boxspring
 ( adding an extra 12" )
.
I added this onto one of
Rachels' ecru bed skirts
that matched the comforter set.
 Now it's the Perfect length.

I
procrastinated on this
project for a
whole year ,

 know what ??

It only took 2 hours to do
 Sheesh!

 Then
I cleaned this corner of the
bedroom
so I could take some photos. ha ha
After Christmas I'll take more photos...
Just purchased a vintage mirror to hang but it
*needs*
white paint first.
We are working
frantically
getting ready for the

Joe is working on a birdhouse ,
it's soooo cute.

Hope to see you there :)
