It's About Time !

It is about time for me to post!

Time does fly , doesn't it?

I've missed you all.
:)
I did do some lurking here and there
to see how you were over the Christmas holiday.

Like all of you we were busy.

The Monticello show was ,
in a word ,
 amazing!
We had such a great show that we decided
to keep the party going. :)

So...
Bella
is in the window for the
month of January
I took these 2 photos
after the sun went down.
Hooray - no reflections!
We have 3 chandoliers displayed ,
 2 which are lighted.
They are giving the window a
warm ,
cozy , homey
feel.
When my daughter and I had our shop
we called
January
" furniture month"
We would sell so much furniture in that one month.
After the tree is taken out and all the
decorations have been put away ,
 well ,
the house needs a little somethng new.
And shiny.
I think a chandolier would work to add back some
bling.
Or new dining chairs .
I painted 4 vintage , solid wood chairs
Martha Stewart's Cement Gray.
Lots of new items will be coming into Monticello
as the Christmas show is taken down.
Vendors will be bringing in new/old
 pieces to fill up the
Salvedge / Garden area once again.

I 'm still obsessed with ironstone .
Is anyone else?
I really do have to make myself part
with some of the pieces I find.

By the way , did you see True Grit?
It was beautifully filmed -
I loved it!

Loved the Old West ,
the big open sky.
Mattie's little prairie jacket and skirt,
her boots ,
her hat
 her spunk and
bravery.

Today ,
I'm going to sew.
I also have a pillow making obsession
going on these days.

I'll post some photos when I'm finished.

Not exactly sure what the
 finished product
will look like but
burlap
and
feather pillow inserts
are involved :)
